Down the River

From the mountain top to the sea, a river constantly changes the surface of the land with sheer force of water. On its journey it destroys rocks, moves boulders, and deposits sediment, constantly wearing away at the ground beneath it. This picturesque image shows a stream in the early stages of gaining momentum and water force to carry the rocks downstream.

Frozen Berries

In this stunning image you can see young rose hips in December. Rose hips, also rose haws and rose hep, are the fruit of the rose plant that is typically red-orange in color. Roses are used in jams, soups and wine, but can also be eaten fresh if care is taken to avoid the coarse hairs. They are particularly high in vitamin c, one of the richest plant sources available.
